Paulo Gazzaniga may have blown it.
The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper has been the undisputed No.1 with Hugo Lloris injured.
The France international, a World Cup winner, is out until January after sustaining a horrific elbow injury in the clash with Brighton & Hove Albion in October.
Gazzaniga has made 12 Premier League appearances thus far this season and has kept just one clean sheet, in the 5-0 win over Burnley.
He has conceded 18 goals in that time, including six in three games against West Ham, Bournemouth and Manchester United.

He shipped two against Chelsea on Sunday in a performance that was ill-disciplined at best and absolutely reckless at worse.
One mistake was instructive; as Marcos Alonso chased a ball over the top, Gazzaniga came out to meet it. He could well have caught it but instead, he opted to try to volley it and ended up almost kung-fu kicking the Spaniard’s head off.
Referee Anthony Taylor attempted to give a free-kick to Spurs – one has to wonder exactly why – but a VAR check intervened, awarding a penalty to the Blues, which Willian scored.
Gazzaniga was also at fault for the Brazilian’s first, his poor positioning essentially allowing the winger half a goal to aim at.
Money talks: How much did Levy pay for each of these Spurs stars?
While he has made some good saves and turned in some fine performances, one feels that, as soon as Lloris is back fit, he will be reintroduced to the team. This kind of display cannot be tolerated.
Gazzaniga, unfortunately, may have blown his chance.
Meanwhile, one Spurs man has been slammed by Gary Neville.
