According to the Football Insider, Spurs are keeping an eye on Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake as the young defender looks like someone they could use as a replacement for Jan Vertonghen.
Vertonghen himself will be 33 in April and Mourinho’s men are reportedly big admirers of the 24-year-old and are set to watch him closely in the next couple of months.

But, upon seeing this update and the links to Ake, many Spurs fans weren’t too happy as they seem to believe the defender in question is simply not good enough for their squad.
They urged the club not to go for him and some even called him “bang average” and “not good enough”, while one fan pointed to the fact that he was allowed to leave Chelsea as reason enough to suggest he’s below the desired standard.
That fan would be wise to remember the fact both Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah were let go by the Blues once upon a time.

Meanwhile, it seems that Atletico Madrid could be on a prowl for Manchester United’s veteran.
