With Marcus Rashford attracting the attention of some European giants thanks to his recent performances for England, namely Juventus, it has been discussed whether or not his poor form for Manchester United is down to Jose Mourinho’s mismanagement.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss seems to prefer Romelu Lukaku in the centre forward position instead of the 21-year-old, a decision which has not really paid off so far this season.
As a graduate of their famed academy, United fans have an affinity with Rashford and want him to succeed at Old Trafford, and not see him shoehorned into the team on the flanks, where he does not perform as effectively.
Under Gareth Southgate this season, the Red Devils star has three goals compared to just two under Mourinho, suggesting that the forward has the talent to be a prolific striker but is being held back.
With his Belgian counterpart stinking out the whole of Manchester with his sloppy finishing and dreadful first touch, we put the question to United fans over whether they would prefer to start with Rashford or Lukaku up top.
Rather tellingly, a whopping 83% of them said that they would rather see their academy graduate lead the line over the former Anderlecht man, as shown in the poll results below…
