Bayern are reportedly keen on Felipe Loyola, a player that will not be too well known to European fans. According to South American football expert Cesar Luis Merlo, the Bundesliga giants are in the "final stages" of negotiations with Argentine side Independiente for the versatile player.

The transfer fee is reported to be €20 million (£17m), which the Argentine club would have to share with Loyola's former club Huachipato in Chile, as the latter are said to hold half of the transfer rights. Loyola only moved to the Argentine club around eight months ago for a fee of just €1.65m.

The 24-year-old is considered a defensive all-rounder who can play both as a right-back and as a defensive midfielder.
